With the increasing rate of divorce, there are more and more families suffering the struggles of child custody, parental visits, and other parenting issues. CWLF provides the service of family mediation to encourage couples who are in the process of divorce or separation to have a positive relationship and help them sort out these difficult issues. It also assures the well-being of the children.

As the divorce rate in Taiwan has been rapidly rising, family members are facing difficult situations due to the disintegration of family relationships, problems with parental custody and visiting privileges as well lack of family support. CWLF helps children and families by offering family activities to enhance and strengthen relationships, consultations for parents and children, a therapy group for children in divorced families, parental education in addition to family mediation.

After the Chi-Chi Earthquake on September 21, 1999, CWLF established a family reconstruction centre in central Taiwan to assist with the rebuilding efforts following the devastating natural disaster. The purpose of these services is to provide supportive long-term services for those children who were orphaned after the Chi-Chi Earthquake. The services include providing family visiting services and respite services for family who care for the children. By engaging the children through play therapy and providing services to help their caretakers, we look forward to helping our clients recover from the trauma over time.

High-Risk families are those encounter great difficulties while lack of proper support and sufficient resources to deal with crisis, such as, financial crisis, illness of breadwinner, unstable marriage, serious conflicts between family members of all times, psychological disorder, and substance abuse, etc. Only if these families are reached and provided by adequate assistance, could we prevent the occurrence of child maltreatment. Therefore, CWLF makes plans with these High-Risk Families and provides resources to them in order to enhance their family capabilities. The services are various from hotline services, home visits, financial aids, counseling, after-school childcare, housework teaching/services, respite care, children's group therapy, and referral services, etc.
